Nitro is a silver Bengal she came to us as an OS(owner surrender). She looks like a snow leopard. It took her about 2 months to finally come around and warm up to everyone but now she loves everyone. She will come to use and tell us she wants the kitchen faucet on, so she can drink the water and even play in it. Yes play in the water. This is also a trait of the bengal our other 2 bengals play in the water as well. Nitro will sit on your lap but only when she wants the attention.

Aria is my personal cat, she is an F2 Bengal. *Honestly I dont know much of the differences) I have had her since she was a kitten. She was born Sept. 2003. and has lived with me since Nov 2003. She came from a breeder who I thought at the time was a great person. Turned out I was wrong. This is when I started lecturing about breeders for profit which is what Aria was sadly. She was according to the breeder a reject so couldnt be sold for top dollar because she has a white spot on her neck. I...

Dustin is a special needs seal point large male approx 3 yrs old. He came to us from Elk City. He is a success story. Someone poured lighter fluid on him and lit him on fire. He survived and even surviving this horrible act of humankind, he is the most lovable of them all here. His eyes, ears and most of his head and face have been burned. He is going blind and deaf from hi...

Oliver is a special needs orange tabby male. He weighs just over 2 pds and is 13 months old. Due to his small size he is a big risk for surgery so we have vdecided to not have him neutered at this time. He has been here since he was 5 weeks old. Oliver is also FELV+ which is probably what caused his stunted growth. Hes also has chronic conjuctivitis.

Skeeter is a special needs tuxedo male approx 2 yrs old and came to us from a gas chamber shelter. His back feet are sealed (they face outward), he has one blue eye and one green eye. His front foot is webbed and missing a toe and his tail is broke in about 5 places. He is very lovable and wants constant attention. He has lived her for almost a year now if not longer. ALthough unique he doesnt act any different from any "normal cat".

Faith is a special needs cat. She is a small orange tabby who was born without 2 front legs. Instead she has small stubs. Her one ear is bent down. She is about a year old now. She hops along very well considering she has no front legs. She has made frequent visits to the Elementary School, Wal-mart, and the local senior citizens home.

Cleo is a tuxedo female who came to us from Edmond. She is a senior kitty and has lived here for approx 16 months. Cleo is very laid back and mainly likes to just lay around. She enjoys canned food daily. Occasionally she will allow you to pick her up but she is going blind so sometimes shes a bit cranky. Although a senior kitty she still enjoys grooming herself.

After trying all week to get her Xena to bounce back we were unsuccessful. I hand fed her all week, using the syringe to force feed her. At times she even fought me because she didn’t want to eat. She bit me a few times when I was giving her subq fluids. I could tell she was slipping away. Her wobbliness with the head went away and so did the nystagmus in both eyes. She did seem to be getting better for a little while but the last few days she was starting to show her age and whatever h...

update on Xena

Posted by Shawnna Lynn on May 2, 2012 at 2:00 AM Comments comments (0)

she had seemed to be doing better. She was grooming herself the best she could, she was eating and drinking on her own with some help with her wobbliness of her head. But today we had a setback. Shes doing poorly again. I gave her subq fluids, nutrical and maxcal but she seems so weak again. She also isnt wanting to open her eyes tonight. So please say extra prayers for her tonight I am afraid she may not make it until morning.

ast Friday I found Xena collapsed by my bed on floor. I picked her up and noticed her eyes were rapidly moving side to side. So I suspected neurological immediately. SO i ran her out to our vet. She is a senior (aged 12-13) white calico ragdoll kitty. So my vet confirms my suspicions and then I asked if it was possibly Vestibular Disease. He said he hadnt thought about that but it could be possible so we put her on prednisone and was told time would tell.

So today she can l...
