Meet Our Cats

Posted by Shawnna Lynn on May 5, 2012 at 1:25 AM

After trying all week to get her Xena to bounce back we were unsuccessful. I hand fed her all week, using the syringe to force feed her. At times she even fought me because she didn’t want to eat. She bit me a few times when I was giving her subq fluids. I could tell she was slipping away. Her wobbliness with the head went away and so did the nystagmus in both eyes. She did seem to be getting better for a little while but the last few days she was starting to show her age and whatever her condition was, it was taking a toll on her body. The only comfort I have in her passing on to the Rainbow Bridge is the fact that I know she is no longer suffering. But it doesn’t make it easier that she is now gone. RIP my dear Xena. Give everyone kisses for me at the Rainbow Bridge. You may be gone Xena but you are not forgotten. Mommy loves you!
